Living here in Nova Scotia is amazing for the scenery and the fabulous fresh air. It feels like a wild and completely unique place and we’ve fallen for it bigtime. Although nature is all around one of the things that we really love about both Dartmouth and Halifax is the style of the houses. Is that boring of us?
Every street is lined with colourful wooden buildings that give an authentic character to the whole region. It feels like we live somewhere completely different and every walk has been brightened by these wonderful buildings all around us. We’re not really into architecture in a big way or construction but there is something about Nova Scotian properties that is just beautiful.

Maybe a bit Scandinavian, everything everywhere is made of wood so it has that rustic look. Need to visit in the summer but definitely would be an incredible place to live.

Such pretty houses! Coincidentally, I’m reading a book at the moment that has a sub plot running through it about the Halifax explosion that happened 99 years ago. Xx
