It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Christmas

It really is beginning to look a lot like Christmas. A really quiet one this year for us but no less magical than any other. We are spending this Christmas and New Year in a lovely housesit in the county of Northamptonshire in England. We’re looking after Molly the basset hound who we got to know nearly two years ago when we were first here. I’ll tell you more about Molly and the village of Mears Ashby in our next post however.

Thank you everyone

At this special time of year we’ just want to say a big thank you to every single one of you that has followed our blog and supported us in 2018. You have no idea how much it means to us to have so many wonderful people in our lives. Every single comment and message makes us smile and brings us such happiness so thank you.

Christmas

Christmas 2018

As I said our Christmas will be extremely quiet this year as it’s just the two of us, and Molly. So it will be a few Christmas films on TV and a few board games and perhaps the odd glass of schnapps. In fact we’re hitting the shops this afternoon, Christmas Eve, to see what treats and snacks they have left. Probably be shelves full of Easter eggs and Valentines cards!

What we are really looking forward to though is our Missmas celebration next weekend when we will be spending a couple of days with our three sons and their wives/girlfriends at a hotel in Hertfordshire. Can’t wait as we miss them even more at this time of year. Could be a little livelier than Christmas!

Have a wonderful Christmas everyone, thanks for all the support this year.
