Scenes from the South West Coastal Path

Our two and a half week stay on the North Devon coast was coming to an end and we were preparing to pack up and move on to our next location. Packing and repacking is a constant in our lives so it’s just another day when we start to fill those backpacks with all of our possessions once again. We were off to the other side of the country, the east coast, but before we left we had time for another quick beach walk.

Staying in Georgeham meant that we were close to so many stunning beaches and seaside towns all along the Northern coast. So many of our beach and cliff walks had been along footpaths that were part of the South West Coast Path and we must have walked quite a few miles of the route. It’s Britains longest waymarked long-distance footpath though and stretches for over 630 miles so we didn’t even do 5% of it, hopeless effort really. We like a walk but six hundred miles is pushing it a bit.

So here are just a few photos of the incredible scenery and unbelievably beautiful views that we experienced on our walks along the Devon coast. Until the next time …………

    • The views are great wherever you go along that coast but that photo looks a little unreal doesn’t it? No filters or fancy editing there though, just weird sunlight and a beautiful day after the rain.
